Your files never leave your device. Everything is processed right here in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
How to use the Split PDF
- Click "Choose a PDF file" or drag your PDF into the box.
- Choose Extract pages, Split by ranges or Split every N pages.
- Type the pages you want (for example 1-3, 5) or how many pages per file.

Ways to split a PDF
Sometimes you only need part of a PDF: one page of a long bank statement, the signed page of an agreement, a single chapter of an e-book, or the pages an upload form actually asks for. Sending fewer pages also keeps the file small enough for email and portals with size limits.
Extract pages picks the pages you list and puts them together in one new PDF. Type single pages and ranges separated by commas — for example 1-3, 5, 9- gives you pages 1, 2, 3, 5 and 9 to the end. The pages appear in the order you type them, so you can also use this to rearrange a document.
Split by ranges makes a separate PDF for each part you type. Entering 1-4, 5-8 gives you two files. This is handy when several documents were scanned together into one PDF.
Split every N pages cuts the document into equal parts. Choose 1 to get every page as its own PDF, or 2 for a PDF of scanned front-and-back ID cards.
Pages are copied exactly, so text, images and links keep their original quality. The original PDF is not changed, and because everything runs in your browser, your document is never uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Your PDF is split inside your browser on your own device. It is never uploaded, so confidential documents stay private.
How do I save just one page of a PDF?
Choose "Extract pages", type the page number (for example 4), click "Extract pages" and download the new PDF.
How do I write page ranges?
Use commas between parts and a dash for ranges: "1-3, 5, 8-" means pages 1 to 3, page 5, and page 8 to the end. "-3" means pages 1 to 3.
Does splitting reduce the quality?
No. Pages are copied exactly as they are, so text, images and links stay the same as in the original file.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Not directly. Open it with the password in a PDF reader, save a copy without the password, then split that copy here.
Why is each split file almost as big as the original?
Pages often share fonts and images. Each new PDF must include the fonts its pages use, so small parts of a large document can still be fairly big.
